It’s cold. Very, very cold here. My SO got a temperature station thinger for Christmas. He could care less, but I was delighted. Set the puppy up and every morning I go look at how cold it is out in the world. I press the buttons that tell me how cold it’s been in the last 24 hours. Pretty fascinated with the little gadget. But it doesn’t sugar coat the temperature. 4.7 degrees is bitchin’ cold, dude.
It’s funny how your mind talks you into things. It’s a very warm 4.7 degrees. It’s not that cold. Your hair didn’t just flash freeze after 10 seconds outside the front door. Medusa doesn’t have a thing on you. No.. no.. no..
It wouldn’t feel so cold if I wasn’t reminded by all the squeaks and rattles the truck makes or if the horses down the road weren’t wrapped in blankets, huddling together with icicles hanging off their noses.
The woodpecker is back. A red fox has joined the menagerie. The deer have multiplied. I heard a great big owl out back last night. Whenever I hear him, I always wonder if someone is playing a prank. It’s so loud and so clear. The stars are beautiful.
But it’s bitchin’ cold, dude.
Stay warm.
Ciao
